Moishe Katz received his BA in Talmudic Law from the Talmudical Yeshiva of Philadelphia. Moishe has a long history of health care advocacy that dates back to his time in Yeshiva. When Moishe was in Yeshiva, he would often be sent on doctor or hospital visits with fellow students to advocate and to ensure that they received proper care and had their needs met. After his time in Yeshiva, Moishe channeled his advocacy into the professional medical field, where he worked in IT administration for Parameds.com for over a decade. Looking to expand his professional repertoire Moishe then spent nine years as the Director of Development for Torah Schools for Israel, an institution he still has a close relationship with today. As the Director of Development, Moishe oversaw the vitality of two-hundred and seventy-one affiliated schools and built relationships with donors and supporters across continents. Moishe brings to United Refuah HealthShare his early passions for medical advocacy and his organizational experience within the nonprofit world. Besides his role as Director of Development, Moishe has a long history of working with numerous nonprofits within the Jewish community. Moishe’s passion for his community and his organizational talents fit perfectly with the United Refuah HealthShare mission. Moishe believes in accessible and affordable health care for all and is passionate about bringing it into his community to address. When Moishe is not in his office at United Refuah HealthShare actively engaging with our members, you can find him learning Torah or with his wife Shulamis and their children.
